Brief Info
The Payroll Assistant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This role involves maintaining payroll records, assisting with tax filings, and ensuring compliance with all labor laws and company policies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in payroll systems and data management.
Deliverables:
- Assist in processing payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions.
- Verify employee work hours and attendance records to ensure correct payments.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, benefits, and deductions.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in processing direct deposit and issuing manual checks when necessary.
- Generate payroll reports for internal use and audits.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Requirements:
- Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation available.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone and personal meeting situations.
- Must be organized, honest, and work well with others, and have an outgoing personality.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far.
- Must speak in a clear, understandable voice and hear at a basic level, and understand English.
